Biography

A life in music, shaped by passion, precision, and patience.

Gennaro Porcaro is a classically trained harpist and dedicated music educator with over 20 years of experience performing throughout Europe and the United States. His passion for music began at just nine years old when he composed for a school musical and discovered a lifelong connection to sound and storytelling.

With family roots in Ischia, Italy, Gennaro brings both heritage and artistry to his craft. His journey has led him to prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall, and his work is known for its elegance, precision, and sincerity.

What began as a single piano lesson for his young cousin quickly grew into a calling to teach. Today, Gennaro brings the beauty of live harp to luxury weddings, operas, and private events, while also offering private instruction in both harp and piano. His approach to teaching is rooted in patience, care, and a deep respect for each student’s unique journey.
